Description

Join Domtar and SCA on Saturday, May 6th to restore the historic Sycamore Mess Hall in Umstead State Park in Raleigh.

Domtar has joined forces with the Student Conservation Association -- an organization dedicated to developing tomorrow's conservation leaders -- to lead community service projects at Domtar sites across the US. Together, we will restore parks and other natural resources in locations where Domtar employees live and work.

Umstead State Park is a peaceful refuge providing 5600 acres of green space just outside Raleigh. Domtar employees and their families will join SCA volunteers at the park to restore the Sycamore Mess Hall, a New Deal-era building constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, through painting, sanding, and other restoration work.
